Where should we go, and what should we see

The good spots open once.
Be there when they do.

Some trips you plan around a race, a rally, a festival. Some you plan around water you can walk to and a view nobody posted about. Both come down to knowing where to point the rig, when the good spots actually open, and whether yours will fit when you get there.

What we're tracking

All events

Water you can walk to

All 42 of them

Not every trip is built around an event. Some are built around opening the door to something you did not expect.

Camping on the Gulf

Destin, FL

White sand underfoot and ocean views are the appeal, along with close proximity to the water and the area's shopping and restaurants.

Havasu RV Resort

Lake Havasu City, AZ

Fishing and boating on the lake, plus a robust activities calendar ranging from water volleyball to movie nights.

Heritage Motorcoach Resort and Marina

Orange Beach, AL

Another stunning Gulf Coast RV park is Heritage Motorcoach Resort, which is brimming with Southern charm.

Three things nobody tells you until it is too late.

When

Every event allocates differently

Lottery, renewals, a timed on-sale, a waitlist, or a phone number that rings in one office. Miss the mechanism and the date does not matter.

Fit

Premium does not mean serviced

Plenty of the best event RV areas are dry camping at a premium price. We say which is which before you arrive with a full fresh tank and a plan.

Gate

Some places will not take your rig

Minimum lengths, Class A only, ten-year rules, renewals that lock out newcomers. A filter that only checks maximum length will send you somewhere you are banned from.
