The rally is a city-wide event with no gate and no central campground, and the City of Sturgis sells no RV or camping inventory. The official rally site's Lodging section lists only three categories, Cabins and Cottages, Hotels and Motels, and Private Homes, and gives a phone and email rather than a booking engine: "For more information regarding lodging, contact 605-347-4422 or email info@sturgismotorcyclerally.com". There is no on-sale moment, no lottery and no waitlist at the rally level. Practical implication: a traveler does not "get a Sturgis RV spot", they pick a specific campground operator and buy directly from that operator, and the popular ones sell out months ahead.
